Helen brings over 38 years experience of working in various roles within the NHS in Scotland. As Head of Service, Helen was responsible for strategic Leadership of Education, Coaching, and Organisational Development within an NHS Board for 14 years.
More recently Helen has been working as an independent coach and development consultant working with senior Leaders up to CEO and Prisoner Governor level in public, private and third sector e.g. Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Prison Service, NHS Borders, Edinburgh Napier University, Queensland University, and Warwick University Business School.
These projects are relevant experience and similar to this project due to similar sized organisations and level of personnel being coached. Helen has extensive breadth and depth in executive and business coaching including current Board member experience. Her background in psychometrics gives her a specialist edge.
Helen’s focus is to facilitate an individual’s development of an increased awareness of self and others, enabling a positive change in performance. This improvement in performance is sustained in clearer communication, more focused goal setting, and more effective team participation and management.
Helen’s highest personal values are integrity, trustworthiness, and honesty. Sharing the lessons of her experience to support and guide others is a focus for Helen. Helen’s qualifications and memberships include; Masters Diploma in Coaching Supervision, MBTI Step 1 and 2 Practitioner, and Masters Diploma in Executive Coaching and Mentoring. Helen is also a member of Associate for Coaching and has an EMCC master membership.
